Preschool Here We Come!!!

I am happy to say that we recieved notice that Micah was accepted into preschool. We also recieved a significant scholarship...Thank you Jesus! We were praying that if this is what God wanted that all things would fall into place and they have. We are so happy for Micah. We go tomorrow night for Open House then he will go for a full day orientation on Thurs and he will begin his first week starting on Monday. We couldn't be more thrilled! Nor could he...he couldn't wait to tell all his little friends.

For those wondering no new news on the adoption front, just waiting. We are week 8 tomorrow! But I am hopeful the flood gates will open soon and we will get our call.

Wow! Preschool, I looked across the table at Corbin today and realized he will be going to school next year. It just makes me sad. He is getting so big and Caitlin turned seven today. My children are growing so fast, I think I am ready for them to slow down now.

He will LOVE it. John amazes us daily with little tidbits of knowledge. Let me know when he starts doing the Months of the Year Macarena. I am the QUEEN of that little preschool skit. Or the Days of the Week (snap snap) song set to the Adams Family theme song. I rock the house with that one.

Just gave it a go over at Heart in Africa. Probably rambled more than made sense. Bottom line: God's amazing grace!!

Have a great day friend!

Trevor and Keva, It's a odd gift for me to be able to see things clearly sometimes. The "fog" in my world can be thick, especially when I've allowed myself to be a little busier than I should have.

However, I did just spend the last 2 hours reading your blogs from today backwards. They say if you listen to a country song in reverse you get your dog, your wife, your house, etc... back. That came to mind as I read, but in the more serious and "learning moment" type of sense.

Your writings seems to be an obvious example of God's provision and faithfulness to his children. It seems that every need, from bunk beds to pre-school and chairs with names, is filled in one way or another.

Thank you for writing and providing an opportunity for others to see the way God proves himself time and time again in your lives. I pray he continues to bless you guys and Micah and Isaac in every way.

Thanks for the example
JV

Keva - YES YES YES is the answer to your question on my blog - I did think Eli was socially behind "because of being an only child" but you know WHAT?? I truly believe it was because of the AGE, not the only child thing!! Because when he turned five (and remember, he got siblings ON his fifth birthday, so really it could not have changed him THAT quickly, could it have???) he got a little more "with it". And I am telling you, age six is even better. Take it from the Momma of a three and four year old -these ages are to test our true grit. But yes, I think preschool helps social skills. I just taught (yeah, right, taught) 14 three year olds (almost four) all day long and I am telling you, they are all levels of INSANE. Cute, but insane.
